Junior Technical Support Analyst

Final Frontiers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Technical Support Analyst to join our Calgary team. This role plays an important part in supporting the firm’s operations by providing technical assistance to clients, resolving IT issues, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality support services.

Final Frontiers is a leading Managed Service Provider specializing in IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity services. We support clients across various industries and are expanding our technical support team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely technical support via phone, email, and remote access tools
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately with detailed documentation
  • Manage support tickets in accordance with SLAs
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
  • Document all client interactions and solutions in the ticketing system
  • Assist in creating and updating knowledge base articles
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during all interactions
  • Support Windows and macOS operating systems
  • Troubleshoot printer, network, and peripheral issues
  • Assist with user account management and access control
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting and connectivity diagnostics
  • Maintain accurate and detailed ticket documentation
  • Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
  • Attend weekly team meetings and training sessions

Qualifications
  • Associate degree/diploma in IT or related field preferred
  • Or 1+ years of IT support experience

  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Familiarity with remote support tools
  • Experience with ticketing systems
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory and cloud services (Office 365, Azure)
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities

Intermediate Technical Support Analyst

You will handle complex issues, mentor junior staff, and contribute to improving our service delivery and client satisfaction. Candidates with AI certifications and hands-on AI experience will be strongly considered for advancement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide level 2 and level 3 technical support for complex infrastructure issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
  • Design and implement technical solutions aligned with client needs
  • Maintain and optimize client IT infrastructure and systems
  • Monitor proactive alerts and implement preventative measures
  • Serve as primary technical contact for assigned accounts
  • Conduct needs assessments and provide technical recommendations
  • Document solutions and best practices
  • Participate in client meetings and present technical findings
  • Manage relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention

  • Strong knowledge of networking, security, and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with ticketing and RMM platforms Proficiency with PowerShell scripting

  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
